The stuff behind the tower there is all for the egr. I dont see why you cant boost a non mass air car. Mass air is the best though.

No you don't have to have mass air to supercharge a car. It would be better served if you run a PMS engine management system for tuning ease.

most after market stand alones are speed density not mass air. so yes you sure can you just need a means of tuning. pms is a good option,
