    Shelf life of auto paint?

I have a full pint of paint that's never been opened. It was purchased 3 years ago. It's been sitting on the shelf in the gargage the whole time. I need to paint my V6 bumper I got for my dumps, and was wondering if it would still be ok to use?

Most paint will have a good shelf life if they have never been opened but the biggest killer of paint is change in temp you can't let automotive paint freeze.......

Can it freeze? There's no water in it?

Its not the fact that there is water in the paint. Its the affect the cold has on the chemicals that make up the paint. Hardners and reducer are also affected by the cold.

I hope this helps you out some.....
