My brother just got an 08 1125R. So far he loves it. That was a couple days after getting it. I'll have to talk to him again since he's actually had it for a couple weeks. It looks like a great bike but I don't know much about them.

do you mean a used one, or a model year leftover??

B/c if you're looking for a model year leftover, you're gonna have trouble finding one for cheap... the Yamaha's are selling like hotcakes...

up in new york at a yamaha dealership we went too they had 4 leftovers and two of them were in the red color that i have wanted ever since they came out in the r6.. I asked for an r6 but he said that they have orders backed up for a month for them.

    thread from the dead...

Scott, they have a leftover brand-new '07 xb1200scg at Cerini for 8,900. They probably deal some more if you showed up in person.

It's the same color as Travis' that he posted...

Go buy it before I do. I started looking at that stupid Sportster XR1200, then I thought, why not buy a Buell with more power and it weighs 150lbs less and still has a version of the Sporty motor in it.

I have thought about taking both my Sporty and Buell and trading them both in on a bigger Harley, but I can not bring myself to getting rid of my Lightning. I absolutely love this bike. Granted, its not for everyone but for me...it's perfect. I highly recommend you test one if you are considering one... I will say that the race kit makes a big difference and is well worth the couple hundred bucks.

So, I go see a customer today in the Mon Valley and I got a few minutes on the ride home, so I scoot over to Cerini.

    Winter Hours: Closed Monday

    Maybe that's my sign.

My apologies if this has already been covered as I only skimmed through the responses.

I think you should consider the Suzuki SV650. Entry level v-twin for entry level v-twin, you get far more bank for the buck with the Suzuki than the Buell.

Like Harleys, you pay for the "name" and "image". If thats your thing, then go for it. If you're into getting comparable performance for less cash, consider the SV650.

Ah ok. I figured 72 hp would be more than enough for you to have fun. Nevermind :)

that Buell Lightning XB1200 got 84ftlbs and 103hp and it weighs 395lbs.

I sat on one today. Feels like a dirtbike with a little bit higher footpegs.

I don't want to get rid of the custom, so if I can't get my old man to buy it, I might have two bikes soon.

Just thought I would add my two-cents on buells. Here are my 22yr old sons buells, he had the red one first and really liked it, so when he had the chance to buy the blue one he snatched it up ! I have ridden both these bikes and think they are awesome..balls of power and nimble as hell to ride, not to mention have a sound all there own ! He is currently serving as a striker driver in bagdad and will be home late september, man do I miss him !! He is having riding withdrawl right now.

He got bored with the blue and switched to black and swapped to black wheels

Here is his current toy,he is the first one on the left in the back row.
