Exclamation problem with start up, sometimes

ok so sometimes when i start it up, it doesnt have to be a cold start, just any time i go into a store and comeback every once in a while, i will start it and it either wont start, or it turns over rpms go up a lil and then it dies. also sometimes when i am at a stop sign it spudders a little like its going to stall. all of these dont hapeen all the time just once in a while and i have not a clue of what it could be, has anyone experienced anything like this? do i need a dyno tune? thats the only thing i can think of.

    anything will help, thanks

mine did that sometimes after my cam-install and my cam is somewhat milder than yours. SGS fixed that right up. It starts and runs almost too smooth now.

EDIT: or just get one of these and have your civic buddy tune it for you !!!

if the problem appears random, the first thing I would check is sensors and sensor wiring for a loose connection if you havent done so.

Iac, try taking it off then spraying the inside with Tb/carb cleaner. I took needle nose pliers and wiggled the plunger back and forth till it moved smoothly.

that's the SCT 3. you can get in more trouble with that one.

definitely check the IAC first because that's a much easier solution, but I'm telling you mine did the same exact thing before I got it tuned. intermittent problems on starts up and the idle would go from 400 to 1,100 SOMETIMES. good luck.

dont even bother cleaning it just get a new one, cleaning it is barely even a band aid fix and wont last long at all, its very easy to change two bolts thats it.

Doesn't hurt to try. Clean it and see if it still acts up, if it does replace it.
