definatly would be easier to get a donor car scott this way your not tryin to find parts here and there...

to make it a true complete v8 not only do you need to change the motor and wiring (unless goin carb) you need to change fuel lines, rearend (can use 7.5 but 8.8 will hold together better) suspension (also can use 4cyl suspension just wont handle as good)
ridin fast, hittin da hills, throwin some dirt

yea i have been throwing it around a few times since i got it inspected and plated, its just gots NO balls. I figure a stock 5.0 would give me a lil more with still decent gas mileage.

Have you considered just selling the 4 xcylinder car and buying a 5.0 car to start? I only ask, because by the time you figure the value of your car, the cost of the donor, and then what all you need to do to make it "right", you might be able to score a decent car for the same value.

I see way to many of these type of projects for sale unfinished, or really tough to sell in the end because they dont have all of the 5,0 stuff.

    Just a thought.

I did the swap on my 91 notch. Picked the car up for a little over $500 and in good shape other than faded paint. Then I just started looking on e-bay for parts like PCM, and engine wire harness. Now the car as H/C/I, 5 lug, and I'm almost done swaping from an AOD to a TKO-600.

    Swap

If im not mistaken you can use your 4cyl dash harness and get a 89 mass air engine harness and a computer and that thing will be done, ive done these swaps more than once and they aint all that bad Let me know if you need a hand swapin that thing, supply beer and im there!!!!!!!!!!!

k member in a 4cyl car is the same

leave the 4 cyl struts and shocks on it for now

an Explorer rear end isn't the right length so you need a mustang 8.8

you can also get a 87-88 harness V8 harness and convert it to mass air if you can't find an 89 harness
    88 GT...and some boost
