Need advice on emissions and smog removal

Anyone know if I can take off all of my smog stuff and still get an emissions exemption sticker if I only drive the car about 2500 miles per year? I am in Allegheny county.

Do the inspection mechanics do a visual if you are exempt?

    Any advice is appreciated.

    Thanks.

If I rip all of this crap off, is this car going to throw all kinds of codes and will the check engine light be on? How to avoid that stuff?

Exemptions do not get a visual. You have to have owned the car at least a year. You have to prove you drove it less than 5000 miles in a year. Normally this is done by looking at the old sticker.
