**** Pittsburgh Roads - Help Please

The sun was glaring off the road this morning so it was very tough to see and i hit a pothole on my R1 ... haven't even had the thing for 400 miles and the front wheel lip is bent out... It holds pressure, but i'm not sure how fond i am of pounding it back down with a 2x4 and a hammer....

Does anyone have any thoughts? Any places I can go to have this taken care of?????

Has anyone had any luck just pounding the lip back down?

call 1-800-FIX-ROAD. leave a message. tell them the exact location of said hole. be professional and leave your phone number. PA DOT might actually do something for you. It might take 3 years, but they MIGHT.

I know for a fact that they pay for windshields in Fayette County due to oversize anti-skid.

I saw another thread on here about it... and one guy said to just take a 2x4 and pound it down... i'm thinkin about this approach, then having the wheel rebalanced to be sure its ok... I really hate to do this, b/c i don't wanna do it half-assed, but i'm having a hell of a time finding somewhere that can do it....

Take pics BEFORE you fix it AND take pics of the hole clearly showing the location. Then, call them and request a report paper so you can fill it out and submit it. Good luck.
