    94 TL1 Tuner

I know this is a mustang site, but I have a buddy with a 94 Trans am, LT1, with a single turbo on it. Lets just say its that whoever was tuning it before has it pretty messed up, and its pig rich when boost comes in. Is there anyone in the area that can work with him on tuning this thing? Its got auxillary injectors, and some kind of seperate driver box i've never seen.

Lots of good parts on this car, but its tuned pretty lousy.

    Any leads are appreciated.

Does he have the cable he needs?? I have the cable to tune a LT1, but not the program...

As far as who to talk to, he can talk to only 1 person i can think of.. Bryan Herter of PCMforless is in Indiana, Pa... he has been doing LT1/LS1 tuning for a long time...

The problem with the OBD1 LT1 is that i don think HP tuners can tune it.... you have to be OBDII to use HPTuners and its basically the standard in the industry for GM... He'll have to use LT1Edit or similar program, and i don't think they're as easy to use....

since its an LT1 car give a look at PCMforless.com and contact that guy would be my suggestion... If it were a LS1 car liek mine, there'd be a lot more options...

I have him bringing me everything he has for the car. Manuals, documents, he said there are some CD's etc, I need to look through what he has. He isnt very savy with all of this.

Thanks! I just googled him up, looks like someone he can talk to to at least get started. I will have him call Bryan directly (and maybe get me out of the middle of this ;) ) Do you know if he has a dyno or acces to one to have him tune?

I've been looking into those PCM's a bit, I sure dont want to go through what I've had t odo with the Turbo EEC IV and learn another launguge just to help him out. He isnt going to race this thing, but its so far out right now, its not very fun to even drive. Just needs a good basic tune.

Have him contact Lonnie. He's located outside of Perryopolis.
