    Need Help

I got some work done to my car. Upper and lower intake new valve covers and a throttle body. Also replaced some gaskets due to a antifreeze leak and oil leak. Now after I drive my car for about 5 to 10 minuets it starts making this LOUD whining noise.I figured noise is comming from the oil cap and dipstick. When I remove it it lets out a ton of air and the noise stops as long as the oil cap stays removed. I was told this is ok and someone else said that this is not good. The pcv valve or maby its called the pvc valve is connected. I can not fit a breather on due to the oil hole is on the drivers side and there is no space for one to fit. Any one know why this would be happening?

I would say you need a breather on the valve cover, what kind of valve covers are they? It could also be a whistle from the throttle body, some aftermarket tb's whistle. Might have to take the valve cover off and look at the underside to see if there is a place for a whole to put a grommet and a breather in.

They are the red and black fors racing ones. They are tall covers. There is anly about a half an inch between the upper intake and valve covers. There is a plug one the other one in the back of the valve cover but the throttle body is right next to it and there is no room for one there either.

Talked to Tim he said it was fine that that is a good thing that means my motor is sealed really good. Lou thinks I am going to blow a gasket and something just is not right.

you have air sucking in the dipstick, not blowing out, just throw a breather in the drivers side valve cover..K&N sells a smaller (in diameter) breather that should do it, I havent seen a motor that was sealed up so tight before... who did you say built that short block??

I agree, you will end up blowing out a seal if the crankcase pressure doesn't have anywhere to vent to. It might be too late already. Do some research on this topic. Good luck!
