I am not using one. I have the forced induction 255 in-tank. When I watch my fuel pressure gauge, it does not drop. Those are mostly designed for a stock fuel system with stock 19lb injectors. It along with the FMU boosts fuel pressure to compensate for the lack of pump. Some people use them and others dont. You should be allright.

Once its tuned, I would not worry about it. The pump you have is good enough. Unless you are going for serious power. You using an adjustable regulator?
