boost gauge flutter? is somthing wrong?

when I start to get into boost my guage needle flutters all the way to full boost. Is there a boost leak? or is it a bad gauge? i tap in the fuel pressure regulator, since my previous turbo car i tap in on that and it worked fine. I wouldnt think it would matter since it coming right off the manifold anyways. any help would be great. it really makes me mad and im annoyed with the fluttering. makes it seem like its not acutally boosting.

Not sure how it works for a procharger, but that's what happened when my wastegate actuator was too weak, and the wastegate wouldn't hold back the exhaust pressure.
New actuator fixed it, and now the boost is smooth.
So it sounds like whatever bleeds off your boost is bad.

    Superchargers don't have wastegates....

However, with centrifugal blowers there is usually some sort of bypass valve (kinda like a blowoff valve).... Its possible that the bypass valve isn't sealing and is allowing boost to bleed off
