    Trac-loc rebuild questions.

New guy here with some 8.8 questions. Is rebuilding a trac-loc (clutch plates) a DIY job? Would it be wise to raplace axle bearings while I'm in there?(96k) Gears aren't oe so the bearings may not be very old. Should I use carbon-friction discs or just buy a new and better diff? Any advice would be greatly apprectiated.

    Thanks, Steve

yes i would replace the ring gear carrier bearings while your in there, and for a street car the kevlar or the stock replacements are great, ar you having troubles with one wheel spinning??

Mostly on the 1-2 upshift. On these warmer 70+ degree days we've had my summer compund tires are hooking better and can feel the diff let power slip more and more.
