If shifters are rated 1-10. Stock is 1 and any aftermarket unit is like 9-10. Seriously, go to ebay and find the cheapest brand name shifter for your car. You will not be disappointed.

I've had B&M and Steeda Tri-Ax and liked both of them.

Honest and true answer right there!

I stopped trying to read reviews because they all have bad and good reviews it seems.

So I too figured I'll just pick the cheapest one and roll with it...

Let us know what you pick out!

I just got a Triax and love it. Of course I just did a 5sp. swap so I have nothing to compare it to though I've driven a few Mustangs with the stock shifter.
MGW is gaining quite a following.

I have a Hurst short throw and can honestly say i have never missed a shift or grinded gears since i got it.If i ran first hard before it almost always would grind going into second with the stock shifter.

I have a b&m pro ripper and Im not crazy bout it. The regular ripper worked good on my old fox but this new one has 2 more mounting bolts that like to work themselves loose, I went to lowes and bought a couple bolts and lock nuts and no probs since.

I have a UPR shifter in mine, its actually the thrid car I've had this same shifter in. I tend to hammer on it pretty good, has held up so far for a $100.00 shifter ;) If I was going to buy one today, I would probably buy the MGW.

    +1 on this

I had the regular b&m ripper in my other stang. The stick was solid all the way from the tranny to the shift knob. No adjustments, but nothing ever worked loose and if you're an anal nutjob it provides a little peace of mind, too.

you should be happy with that. Steeda makes great products for Mustangs. I got mine on the upper (school bus setting ) and it shifts great.
