This is why we shouldn't street race

This is a prime example of why you should keep the racing to a track and not on the street.

thats absolutely horrible. that car was devastated.

I dont know what to say, but i'll peruse the srt forums (since the black dodge neon was probably an SRT4) and see what I find.

I couldn't believe the state of the car, I originally seen this over on www.popsracing.com where I am a member. He had the car for 2 days.

checkout post number 6 on this thread its got pics of the car after and a link to the auction for before pics.

It is tragic yet we are all guilty of it. We will most likely do it again after seeing this. I cannot think of words to send his family that would ever amount to much in their loss.

I agree about being guilty. I am very guilty of playbabying on the streets on to many occasions to list. I know I can't say I won't again. It is something that sits you head though I think as I get older. I feel for the parents in this as I am a parent and I think about my 9 yr. old son and what may be bad examples I set for him about the mustangs we love and share together. And how I would feel if that was him. It is truly sad. R.I.P. to all of them

How fast do you have to be going to do that? My prayers are with the friends and family of those two.

That is BS! The kid was driving over his head and wrecked. I agree its sad to see and I feel bad for the families loss but how can they want the other driver to come forward? The other driver didnt force the race unless he was pushing him down the road.

"Friday morning the victims' relatives created a roadside memorial at the scene of the fatal crash." I never under stood that. If I die in a car wreck I dont want flowers along the side of the road. Put them with my body if it makes you feel better. Better yet just think of me from time to time and skip the flowers.

this happened on friday right? if so, around 4pm it was raining and really crappy in lancaster. Wouldnt suprise me if there were puddles or wet spots that contributed to the loss of control.

Philly, it looks to have occured in NY.

Its a tragic situation, but why are they trying to find the other driver? As was said above, its doubtful that he was pushing them down the road....

You say "Hey y'all watch this!" Floor it...then hit the pool at about 100mph sliding sideways so it hits behind the front seats.

On the grim, sick, funny side...I pulled the news artical up to look at the car pics and at the bottom was "Wright Spinal Solutions, Treatment of chronic back pain with out surgery" I dont think the kids will be needing that.

I agree. It is a very sad story, however, the driver was obviosly inexpirienced and in over his head. I'm seventeen years old and in that situation i just remember that my brother told me never to push your car to limits that you're uncomfortable with. And even if you ARE comfortable, there's other lives in your hands.

This is why you never race with a passenger. I always boot my passenger out before raceing.
