    Pens/Flyers - Game 2

Pens looked a little poor..... Malkin looked slow and didnt look like he was interested in playing real hard... Kinda like he was wanting to imitate Randy Moss .. lol... but even if he was tired and sore, he attracts so much attention, he helps out others..... Poor looking , but still pulled out a win...

Therrien always has the team ready after a poor game, whether its a win or a loss... I think they'll come out hard and win a 3rd in Philly on tuesday!!!

I don't think they really looked poor, I just think philly stepped up their game.

Would be great to see them win game 3. Lets go Pens!

WTF was with that goal review? It looked so obvious to be a clear goal. I agree Malkin was a out of it. I still think the PENS dominated. 2 more....

I think the Flyers looked pretty good until just before our 3rd goal. Then I think fatigue caught up with them. They were thin on the defensive side after their guy went down early in the first, and once they got tired they started making mistakes, and the young Pens took over.

I don't know all the hockey rules, but I guess the entire puck has to cross the backside of the goal line? Even so, I thought that Sidney's 2nd goal should have counted. Seems like they could have "measured" how far the front edge of the puck was into the goal, then subtracted the width of the puck to determine if the entire puck crossed the goal line. Lucky for us that wasn't the difference in the game.

I don't think you'll see Malkin turn it over again like he did on our powerplay. Richards was waiting for that move - seems like Malkin has been doing that pass back to the middle pretty consistently lately - time for him to mix it up a little. But the guy does play some great hockey, and he is strong on his skates like Jagr back in the day - what an animal!

    Bring on game 3!

That was a really nice ( and sad ) story on the young boy with terminal cancer from Freedom. Meeting Mario, Big Ben, John Smoltz, and others has to be a HUGE thrill for a kid. What a nice young kid with a tremendous positive attitude! His parents have to be extremely proud. It would be great if somehow he could pull through and beat the disease. My thoughts are with him and his family.

Both teams played really quick it seems. Looked like they were on their toes the whole time (malkin the exception). Funny seeing kennedy own whats his name in the beginning.

The Pens are 10-1 in the playoffs, I will not complain about anything!

As far as the Pens not looking so great, I think it was more of the Flyers looking better and playing their style better this game than in game one. The Pens are ready to play any style they have to, but even they admitted that the 2nd period got away from them and they started getting to chippy and baited into some penalties.

As far as the no goal, you have to have visual evidence that the puck crossed the line. Biron covering the puck does not let you see the entire puck cross the line, so no goal. It was the right call. While common sense tells you the puck obviously did cross the line completely, since you cant see it cross completely its not a goal.

How about Malkins elbow to Brieres head haha...

The Pens are hot. They find ways to win, even on off nights. Malkin's cross ice pass that was picked off and taken down ice for a shotrhanded goal was just sloppy play. He was off his game, but everyone else stepped up, especially the checking line.

I think the goal that was dis-allowed should have been overturned. Sometimes you need to think outside the box and just make assumptions and use logic even if there is no physical evidence to support the case.

It would be nice to at least win 1 of the road games, then bring it home for game 5 to end the series on home ice. It is SO MUCH sweeter to advance to the next round with a win at home
