never hurts to call and find out, maybe ask for pics.
I've found that most of the time when there's a phone # it's legit. When I was looking for a motorcycle I came across a lot of scams and most only included e-mail addresses. Then when you e-mailed them they would say that they only wanted to deal through ebay or something like that.

I'm gonna guess it was a scam, lol
LOL i was talking about this with a friend of mine.
My theory is that he paid the car off but there was a lien on it, which wouldnt show up on the title he got from the bank, but would suprise the next owner when they went to transfer title. then the scammer would get out of paying the debt and have a free 900 bucks.
