Need advice with 1995 Mach audio

Hi.

Can anyone give me some recommendations on replacing my 1995 GT convertible's Mach audio system?

I have the two separate units - the stereo/cassette and the separate CD player lower down in the dash.

I am just looking to upgrade to stereo/cd and speakers. No subs or anything like that. Would like to use the bottom area where the separate cd player is for storage or something else.

Does the Mach audio include any small amplifiers somewhere up in the dash? What exactly can and should I replace? Can the speakers be easily replaced? Any recommended places to get the stuff?

I would appreciate the advice of anyone who has done this before.

very simple need aftermarket head unit & ford premium sound wiring harness kit. wire the plug into new head unit(make shure to connect blue/white wire on both sides that will turn your fact. amp on) you should be fine with fact. speakers. then just see Lou & get fact. cd delete (plastic tray) & your done. I see your from gibsonia I'm right off 910 & rich hill rd. & mines done just like I said,you can stop by & have a look if you want before you start.

Larry, thanks for the help. I got everything installed and working. It looks much cleaner now and now I have a little extra storage space in the car ;)
