Ok, So the first day I got my car I cut the exhaust off after the cats..I just installed a bbk crank pulley and at about 4500 rpm it falls on its face..Is this because it has no back pressure?

did you use the right bolt for the crank pulley? if you replaced the pulley it should have came w/ 2 bolts 1 is longer than the other so you can pull the pulley on the crank. i would double check that bolt and also make sure its tight b/c the crank angle position sensor is held down w/ the crank pulley bolt and it might be loose and virating to cause this condition.

But only if I let Kenne scream at ya. LOL
If it was on at all, there should be a code stored in your system. If you don't have a programmer, go to an Auto Zone. They will usually pull the codes for free. Write them down and report back. Somebody on here has a list of the codes and descriptions or you could google "FORD CEL CODES".
IMO, The OBDII system in these cars is pretty sensative. The car usually doesn't have an obvious physical problem without tripping the cel with a code.
