    Tire Size

Well, the 06 GT is going to need new rear tires shortly, can't imagine why. :D

Car has the optional 18" factory wheels with the narrow 235/45/18 tire. I'm trying to figure out just how wide of a tire I can put on the factory 18 x 8.5" wheel. Going to go with the Nitto 555's since I liked them so much when I had them on the Cobra.

Anyone have any experience with a dumb ass wheel width of 8.5"?

At least a 255. Possible a 275.I set a nitto 275 next to a bfg 275 last week. My nitto's were a solid inch narrower than the BFG's. For some reason the Nitto's run alot smaller.

If 04 gt wheels were 8 to 8.5 I ran 275's on it.

I drive this one too much to put a drag radial on it. Plus, I don't think they'll be too good in the snow next winter.

That's why you should get a set of 215 blizzak's for those wheels and get a set of nice wheels/tires for the other 3 seasons....

Black wheels suck if you ask me. There is a rare occasion of them looking OK on a black car, but that's about it.
