i actually made that out of an old dvd box. i took the lid and fit it the the ashtray top. marked and drilled three holes and ordered the switches. it 3M taped right to the ashtray top and fits in perfect pops right off if you ever have to change a wire or bulb. and no the lid does not close. if you were to do the same but order shorter switches it would shut just fine.
