I saw a brand new C6Z06 coming through Apollo yesterday... was a copper/burnt orange color with chrome wheels.... absolutely gorgeous... Sure wish i could afford that vehicle... the TT T/A would be gone in a heartbeat

well, considering that dead stock they have about the same whp has a pullied cobra (~450rwhp), and weight like 600 or 700lbs less, i'm gonna say they probably pull pretty damn hard ..... plus the vette is much more aerodynamic than the mustang...

I'd absolutely love to run into one.... spank the shit outta him ..... then ask him to switch keys... LOL

Another thing about the ls series motors is the torque curve, they are very strong through most rpms, look @ a dyno graph and you will see. I think run high 11's and trap low-mid 120's with decent driver, all while passing emissions.

Actually, the LS7 has gotten into the 10's with just a set of drag radials.... Ranger (some dude on the net that's apparently one hell of a driver) was able to pull of a 11.22@127 in a bone stock C6Z06, factory run-flat tires and all.....

Yep the new Z06 would be the only replacment for my Cobra. I see a blue one sitting at Tom Henry on RT8 and man is that thing f'n sweet!! I am sure the cost of insurance will be insane so I will keep my slow, to the insurance company, Cobra for a few years and see how I make out. Maybe a twin screw will fill my needs.

I heard the new top of the line Camaro will have a supercharger so that might be another car to watch out for. I hate to say it but I feel Ford missed with the Shelby. The bang for the buck seems a bit off to me and I know its the name on the car that caused it.

I'm anxious to see what Dodge does with the Challenger. I have heard/read that in the 2nd year of production, they are going to offer a 500+HP version. IMO-this is the best looking car of the 3 (Stang, Camaro, Challenger) and if I would have the cash, this is the one that I would go after. My dad actually has spoken for a new black one at sticker... don't know if he'll actually buy it, but its worth a test drive.

if memory serves me right, I think he whittled his time down to 10.87 @ 127 on the stock runflats. He's a freak of a driver at a very fast track. he ran that time at like -4000 da or something like that.
