Something needs to be done about this:
I dont follow baseball much, so I dont know what to say to the philly fanbois who now think the team is supermegaawesomeOMGWTFBBQpwnt...
... i.e. a couple of coworkers that i want to shut up about baseball.

yeah but I cant say anything like that in today's politically correct workplace.
the only thing I know is that i think last year(?) they made it into the playoffs but got swept in the 1st round or something.
couldn't agree more... there's nothing worse that stopping in the bar on a hot day for a cold beer and it's all quite except for the baseball game on tv with the only one watching, some old man missing one hand complaining about every pitch like he could throw it better :)

I went to a Faith Hill / Tim McGraw concert a few years ago. In the middle of McGraw's set, he brings a Phillies jersey onto the stage. Apparently, his real old man, Tug McGraw had just died and he used to play for the Phillies. I don't know if Tim McGraw got his cities mixed up or just figured that anybody in PA would be happy about this or maybe he just underestimated the level of disrespect of southwestern Pennsylvanians.
The whole crowd booooood him off the stage. He left the stage and came back as though he was going to finish his set, then he gave us all the double middle finger. Then, the crowd laughed at him.
It was one of the funniest things I had ever seen.
I have no idea what this story can do for you Philly and I don't care, either.
