    Jeeps

(97 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 5.2l)Ok, my mothers jeep is really acting up lately, so here goes ill try to explain it to the best of my abilities, sometimes it will run and drive flawlessly, and other times the tranny will shift hard, and when you come to a stop such as a red light, it will be fine then all the sudden just die, most times it will restart right away other times it will sit for awhile, we took it somewhere to have it fixed and he said coil was bad, rad, and pressure cap, $500 later and it does the same shit, so we took it to 2 other people both said it is the torque convertor in the tranny thats causing it to shift hard and to shut off..

well shifting hard yeah, but shutting off really? a torque convertor would cause a vehicle to shut off?

Need some impute because she thinks she needs a new tranny and is about ready to get one, and im trying to talk her out of it..
    Fox/n.
    1. wild animal : a carnivorous animal of the dog family that has a sturdy square body, large cubic inches, a wide RPM range , and comes in many colors. Foxes are found throughout most of the world and hunt alone, mainly at night, relying on cunning and an acute sense of power and acceleration. They feed on mostly small rodents like rats(BBC) , mice (SBC) and snakes(Cobras).

It all affects the idle and if its stuck in lockup it may not let it start. I'd say tranny rebuild and problem would go away.(includeing new converter)
