Last time I checked this was a free country... The former soviet union was all about price controls, didn't seem to work out so well for them.

Thank your local tree hugger for the BS they cause in stopping any ideas for new refineries. Government for all the BS taxes they place on fuel and for the stopping any worth while drilling in our own country. Less government is better not more.

Mexico doesn't have to deal with all the crap we deal with. Good reason fuel is cheaper there.

And you think it's working better here? You must get your gas for free.

See this line: When we asked gas analyst, Charles Langley, why a country like Mexico can have cheaper gas, Langley answered very simply, “Mexico has price control."

I don't pay for gas in my service truck (that I take to and from work) but I am paying 4.17 a gallon for 93 that goes in my Cobra. I'd be willing to bet Mexico dosn't have 5% of the regulations we do here. 1 blend of gas for the whole country would be a start.

    Surely its all his fault.

Simple economics...gas will continue to rise in price as long as we all continue to pay for it.

Once it reaches it's price threshold and enough people start bicycling/walking/teleporting to work and gas no longer is profitable, prices will drop back down.

Until then, we'll all keep buying it, some will keep bitching about it, and the companies selling it will continue making money off of all of us.

There's no government conspiracy here, folks.
