who drives thier stang year round weather permitting?

i just picked up a new to me 5.0. pretty clean car, not mint original but pretty decent and better than the POS's i usually buy to drive.
planned on storing it until spring. problem is i actually really need a car other than my truck to use really bad for work purposes etc.
i was thinking of throwing a plate on it and driving it until there is bad snow on the ground etc
anyone else out there use thier cars year round weather permitting? i am kind of worried what kind of toll would be taken with driving/lettting it sit out all winter.

few people are guessing couple pistons are hurt...not really sure until its torn apart. I'll be getting a new shortblock from MMR sometime after xmas, got a few priorities first.

Well I'd love for that to be the case but I've personally seen 2 other motors with this EXACT same noise...and both turned out to be the teflon coating on the pistons burned up.

Either way...I want a new shortblock anyhow, I got that little red switch on the console thats begging to be hit.

I have driven my 428 Galaxie one winter, 88 5.0 Vert, my notch one, 00 GT another, an 88 LX 5.0 for many winters. I may be driving a 91 GT Vert this winter. I have never had many issues. In my LX I had a bare 289 Block for weight. Snow tires help alot!

I drive my cobra year round as long as the roads are dry. I'm still making payments on it for another year and have to maintain insurance year round so I figure I might as well take it out as long as the weather is nice. An extra bonus is the fact that the cold weather bumps the HP up a good bit . I have a ranger to play in the snow with, so thankfully I don't have to drive a mustang around in the snow anymore. I did that for about 4 winters in my old 85 GT and it wasn't much fun
