1990 LX 5.0 vert project FS

Due to recent car troubles with my daily driver, coupled with some other external pressures, I'm selling my project.

The chassis is a clean title 1990 LX 5.0 black convertible with a roll cage already installed (it was the vert that cam99 owned). At this point its a roller. Previous motor was a carb'd 460 IIRC before that was sold and I decided to fit a 94 v6 with manual trans into it.

Car right now isn't running, but the chassis is solid. Subframes welded in, cage as I mentioned, fuel cell installed. Has a stock black hood on it and paint is good for a 28 year old car. Stock radiator in place. Rear suspension is stock, but it still needs the quad shock on each side and a new set of rubber to be roadworthy. 4.10 gears out back. The drivetrain is complete including driveshaft, so you can either finish hooking up my motor or put your own one in. Accessory wiring (lights, turn signals, backup lights, taillights, etc) is intact. You can continue my project or put your own motor in.

The motor is a 1994 v6 engine with 70k miles on it, a T5 manual transmission for the v6. I also have a pair of split port heads from a 97 windstar that I had planned on having machined and installed, and the upper and lower intake from the windstar.

The first person with $1500.00 can take everything, and, I will also throw in an automatic trans for the car so that you can have your choice of transmissions. The pedal assembly is currently set up for automatic but I have the manual pedals already purchased and can be installed.

PM with any questions. Pics can go up as soon as I get in contact with cam99 as the project is in pittsburgh not philly.

I will consider selling the roller separately (lowballers need not PM), but since the motor/trans is in place, you wouldnt be able to take delivery until next weekend when I can get into town to take it out.

    Thanks.

    29 views and no questions/offers?

I'll try and get pics up ASAP.

Also, there is no rust anywhere on the car.

EDIT - again, i'll consider offers on any/all parts

    PM sent.

the engine question is a good one, so Im going to reply here too as well:

The engine itself does run. It was taken from a running car owned by Street Lethal Performance because they were making a 94 v6 into a drag car. Its not "operational" because I havent hooked it up completely yet :) My original plan was to go with a megasquirt standalone since megasquirt has native EDIS support. It seemed the logical choice since the person who owned the car before cam99 put a carb'd motor in it and therefore didn't really bother much with the EFI wiring and compared to doing wire tracing hooking up the megasquirt to control air and fuel is stupid simple.

If you wanted to use Ford's wiring, i DO have Ford's computer. Its for the automatic transmission that comes with the complete package.

I also forgot to mention that when I bolted up the T5 to the engine for fittment, I installed a brand spankin' new clutch assembly. If you decide to go the T5 route, there is no reason to take anything apart.

as an aside, I do have all the parts for the split port setup including the fuel rail (forgot to mention that earlier) so if you wanted to take the heads off and put the new heads on after a cleaning and machining youd be ready to go. The heads are disassembled with every part labelled and tagged so if you wanted to use the existing parts where possible it can be done.

That car does not have the ford EFI Engine harness anymore, so if someon would go EFI, they would need it. It also doesn't have the computer either. I sold those off before Cam got it.

Well I got the computer for the V6, and I didnt touch any of the harnesses coming out of the motor for injectors or sensors yet, so it would be an issue of getting a harness frim a 94 car and plugging it in.

The hood and wheels were sold off the car when I had it. It is an original 5.0 car.

i have the windstar upper and lowers here at my house (not in pitt). Im trying to sort out the next time Im going to be in pitt so we can make a deal if you're still interested.

Once I do find out when im in pitt, im going to set a final, rockbottom price for the roller. If it doesn't sell, i'll probably have it towed to a yard or something.
