    lightning gas mileage

I'm curious on wat the gas mileage is. I'm considering buying one. I want to know the sticker gas mileage and what everybody on here (that has one) gets with theirs. I know the 01 and newer is better. I just need all the info I can get Lol.

I'm not sure, but i'd be willing to bet its gonna be like 12 or 13 in the city and maybe 17 or 18 in the highway....

I have the first year for the harley trucks, thus its not supercharged.... i only get 15mpg, and i know the supercharged ones get like 12 or 13... they have the lightning motor in them, with a larger pulley for less boost....

I don't think a 4500 lb truck with 400 HP and the aerodynamics of a refigerator is worth considering if gas mileage is a concern of yours.

I was considering buying one a while back....

Seems like the consensus is about 13-14mpg avg.

You're moving a 5.4 liter brick through the air.....on premium to boot.

Your 4.6 mustang should be getting way better than 15-16mpg IMO.

Your foot must be really, really heavy. My old 99 Mustang GT was getting 18-19 MPG in a mix of highway, city, and traffic driving.

Don't forget they require premium fuel too. I don't really know what mine gets when I'm not towing but when I'm towing, 12 mpg. It's a 2000.

If I were in your position, I'd probably buy a Lincoln LS. You can get em pretty cheap (~12k?) and they're sick IMO. Can't beat the heat better than you can with their a/c seats.

Otherwise, I'd get a car thats good on gas/insurance thats reliable so you can save some cash. Thats my plan after the hummer (ya ya, I know... you fool me once... )
