I recently put on a fiberglass hood (love it) on my '87! However, now I have interference on AM only (FM is OK). I have the 13" short antenna, would the original long pne be better? I listen to FM most of the time anyway, but is this a normal thing to loose the AM?

i dont even know of any am channels except 540 radio disney!!!!! lol
Heck yeah if you like oldies (50's and 60's) there's WKFB 770. That's about it for AM anymore. But why interference on AM only?
did you have a hood ground? if you did I would try re-grounding somewhere and see if that helps.

my stock hood has a ground cable on it so it must be for something. i was asking if you had a strap on your old hood, if you did try grounding it and see if it helps
