    The concrete wall at the end is kinda ****ed up. A small sand trap then 4' of concrete.

    RIP Scott Kalitta.

    I hate to see things like this. It really kinda hits you in they heart when you see something like this....

    I really think theres going to be some changes to the track and where the final barrier is. It just seems to me that if the track is capable to hold 300+ mph cars, or any fast car for that matter, it should be prepared for the worst. It's not something new for the car to blow up and the chutes to get burned off. The track should be ready for a car at that speed to have to be slowed down before impacting ANYTHING.

    they were talking about that today as the races continue. most of those tracks were made when cars were only going 200 mph. some of the drivers feel that the race should end at the 1000 mark. after that is when all the engine damage happens anyway.

    RIP Scott its sad to see how quick this type of thing can happen.The sand traps need to be longer and saftey nets would be much safer the concrete walls. There will be rule changes in the end after this tragedy.
