Alright, first and foremost, I took my 86 in to get Emissions/Inspection done because my 3 month grace period is almost over. Well, it failed the tail pipe emissions portion. The dude said my cats are all plugged up and i need new ones. He quoted me $324 to get a stock pipe and When he told me that i almost shit myself. Lou at LMM said he can get me a Bassani high flow catted x for 358. Should i order that or does anyone have a high flow catted x pipe for my car that will pass emissions that wants to sell it in the 300-400 range?
Secondly, my 98 developed a "rattle" coming from the engine over the last year. It sounds like piston slap but i had it checked out and its not. I'm looking for a P.I. block or a cobra in that body style. Any other ideas on how to fix it and pick up a few horses will be greatly appreciated.
