I probably won't be ready for opening day but you never know. I bet you will get atleast four runs. They installed a knew timing system at the end of the year which sped things up plus alot of people probably won't be ready.
Left lane seems to have a faster mph at 1/4 then right lane. I am more than happy to get 4 runs and beside I never been to a TnT that I didnt get atleast 4 runs.
My opening day will start in Bradenton![]()

X2, probably no chance of me being ready at this point.
It was that way with my car until I put the Eibach launch springs in the front. Must of lifted the front end enough that it hits the lights the same, lane to lane now, or something like that?? after the springs went on I am dead on in both lanes.
Now expalin to me what happened to my 60' times went after they ground the track ;)

Balaska, you'll be ready, at least by the week after. Greg and I only dropped the block4-5 times, once on the box of rods and pistons, once on the crank. They'll be fine. :D
Obviously, I don't know all your situations on what your problems are with PRP. I love the place. All I can ask is, playing devil's advocate, are you getting there before the runs start? Or are you getting there 2 hours after and expecting the same number of runs as someone who was there when the gates opened? When you have a problem, are you talking to the track personell in the way you would want to be talked to, or should you give your emotions a couple minutes to cool off?
BTW, FWIW, on the TnT weekends, I've never gotten less than 4 runs, same for Wednesday nights. Also, in '08, the Weds night test n tunes will not have gambler's races. Ran outs will be made up on Friday nights.
nevermind...

Every Saturday should be TnT, not just in the fall. They forget that the people that make them the money are the street cars and they always get a bad shake.

Mark,
Have you ever been there on a saturday during racing season????
Always looks packed to me and it's the same price or more expensive than TnT. I dont' think PRP is suffering attendance wise on the summer weekends.
Regardless...me...being a TnT'er...i'd like to see more spots besides just wednesday nights during the summer...

I'm always there before racing starts, and have average 2-3 at most runs. I went once when the weather was threatning and got 6 runs because of lack of attendance. That was three years ago. Since then it seems if there is a rain drop in Columbus Ohio they will cancel the T&T because they can't make the usual small fortune from a full house. As a whole (I'm sure there are some decent people there) the management acts like T&T is just a pain in the ass to them and NEVER treat street cars with the respect that someone who just just dropped 30-50 bucks to race and eat a cheeseburger there deserves. It is disgraceful , but won't change because there is still attendance because it's the only local track. I used to go there every other week when I got my Mach, now I go max twice a year just to enjoy some track action, but then I'm reminded what it's like there and not go back. Sorry for the rant, but that's my .02
Its a shame that it is like that, but what can you do? I'm glad we have a track that is decently close. I cant wait till this summer![]()
I suppose if I had a different objective with another car I'd frequent PRP. When you attain a certain e.t. at a faster track and your only goal is low e.t., it's a fruitless effort at best.
The prep is another debate. Is it the combination of street tired cars bringing water to the line, is it the lack of prep, the surface, or a combination of one or more? At Mikey Mustangs track rental, the track had teeth in the starting line. I have *never* been able to replicate the launch rpm from that particular day.
Efficiency seems to be brought up quite often in conversations. Let's face it, breakage is going to happen. But, the cleanup after the breakage takes more time to complete than any other track I've been to lately. From my viewpoint more effort needs to be concentrated in this area.
I had a great many good times there. With over 100 passes on an SN-95 and a little less on a 86 5.0L it was nice to have a track in close proximity in relation to where I resided. I never had much difficulty hooking those two examples, namely because of the low power output. Being at a disadvantage, elevation wise, when comparing PRP to the premier tracks in the east, it gave me more motivation to dial in the driver mod. Those tracks were sometimes 1,500-2,000 ft. better on the D/A. That gave those guys more MPH to work with and ultimately a better chance at low e.t. That's how I looked at it anyway.
So, see you all there on the opener, I'll have the 35mm in hand![]()

Its about time they quit that!!! I know you are in cohoots with the tedesco's. Give them some advice. Make TnT for STREET cars!!! There would be sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many more cars there. Then have another night for the slick cars. Perhaps if they did that, they would triple their profits. There is just so much bullshit involved with all the other stuff going on. The Gamblers race ties up atleast an hour and thats on a good night. I told Frank many years ago about this, he just gave me a dumb look. Its a good idea and the turnout would be great. There are alot of people on this side of Pittsburgh that want to go to the track and wont because of the drive and dealing with all the other balogna.
